Audience: New or experienced primary PE Subject Leaders
Designed to help, guide and support subject leaders to review, evaluate and reflect upon their current curricular provision for PE and to help set targets for where you want PE, physical activity, play and sport to be!
- To align with wider school values, ethos, aims and targets to help embed PE at the heart of the school.
- Looking at staff confidence and competence to plan effective CPD over time, risk management, planning, teaching and assessment, effective practice & monitoring / evaluation.
- Review risk management, risk assessments and safe practice.
- Write policies to lead and ensure consistent, safe and effective practice.
- Time will be spent looking at the curricular map and considering pupils needs, community context and relevance of curriculum.
- Curriculum design, ambition, pedagogical approaches, progression.
- Practical ideas and support to help develop a greater shared efficacy for the subject and how to raise its profile.
- Each session with a school is bespoke to meet YOUR needs and those of YOUR pupils.
The subsequent auditing and planning will include a strategy for the spend over the coming years, monitoring and evidencing impact – all of which should be published on the school’s website.
This bespoke package is planned and delivered by Martin Radmore, former County PE Adviser for Norfolk, national award winner and experienced validator for afPE Quality Mark programme, national qualification assessor / tutor.
