This simple Roadmap seeks to represent a potential learning journey in a primary school. It is editable to allow you to adapt it to suit your planned intent. Games is about knowledge, understanding and transference as well as the skills. This document can be used alongside your Intent statements or progression maps from your scheme of work / commercial scheme e.g. Get Set 4 PE.
Rather than a ‘sports’ based approach schools can use and adopt an approach for teaching understanding, developing knowledge that will allow pupils to transfer / apply this in new scenarios as they develop not only confidence but competence.
Please feel free to adapt, modify and personalise this template to suit your needs. If it is useful enjoy, it is not meant as a perfect example or suggested curricular but rather a tool for you to use.
