‘Being new to the PE role I was understandably daunted by the prospect of how to take PE forwards in my setting. Working with Martin on this course has helped me enormously to map out my vision and priorities for PE in a manageable and sustainable way with, fundamentally, the learner at the heart. It is giving me increased knowledge and confidence in the role and I am feeling that I have real direction now as a result of Martin’s support and input. I always end our meetings feeling excited, invigorated and empowered. ”

‘I have just completed the level 4 award in Leadership and Management in Physical Education (PE) with VisionED and I recommend this course to every PE subject leader. The course was invaluable to my own personal progression as a subject leader but also to my school as a whole. My course tutor went above and beyond to support me as a subject leader and my school to make PE better for all the children in the school. The online platform was easy to follow and if I ever had any questions about the content, VisionED were contactable and quickly responded to my queries. This course is a definite must for all PE subject leaders!’
Josie Pavely, Kendall Primary School, Colchester
‘The online platform was straightforward to navigate, allowing me to keep track of my assignments effortlessly. The subjects covered were insightful, providing practical information that I could apply within my PE department.
The feedback I received was excellent, and I frequently integrate it into my department meetings to generate ideas for professional development sessions. Most of the materials I have implemented in our PE program and so far, it has been a success.
Additionally, I appreciated receiving the feedback within 24 hours, as most online platforms typically take several days to respond.
I strongly recommend that other physical education teachers and department heads participate in this program. The Tutor was very accommodating and adaptable regarding the way things operate in China, and we enjoyed meaningful discussions about it. I am pleased that learners from outside the UK can gain from this program.’ – Riaan Loots – BASIS International & Bilingual School Chengdu, China. 20 January, 2025
‘The course has been such a transformative and insightful experience. It has developed me as a Subject Leader, providing me with the knowledge, skills and confidence to coordinate a high-quality and engaging PE programme in our school. I feel empowered as a result and excited to see our PE provision developing so positively. I would recommend to anyone (be they new to the role or more experienced in the role) who is motivated and interested in enriching the PE offering at their school and in developing their own skill-set to become a more effective and impactful leader.’
Nicola Frith – PE Subject Leader – Leigh North Street Primary, Essex
‘I would also just like to say thank you to you! Your prompt feedback and kind words have really motivated me to keep moving forward with it even when I have felt a little overwhelmed!
In terms of the structure of the course, I feel like it takes you on the perfect journey as a subject leader. It has enabled me to look systematically at our practice, celebrate achievements and make amendments and refinements where necessary based on best practice. Ultimately, we all want what is best for our children and this course enables you to reflect and learn what ‘best practice’ is and how we can provide the opportunities for ALL of our children to achieve the very best outcomes.
As I said above, your support has been invaluable! I would definitely recommend this course! It has made my confidence soar and I really do feel like I am doing the best possible job I can as a P.E. subject leader. Thank you so much again!’
Melissa – PE Subject Leader at St. Malachy’s Primary – Manchester
‘Wow thank you so much I have just read all the other feedback emails too. So inspiring and yes please, a zoom call to look at assessment would be great at some point – but again no stress on time. I am truly fascinated by all of this and loving the direction and journey it is taking me, my team and our children on. I am so excited to develop and utilise all of this. I cannot believe I’m not even half way through the course and already have so much to think about. Thank you again so much for everything. I cannot endorse this course enough. It is truly inspirational 🥰’
Jayne Henaghan – PE Subject Leader @Laude Lady Elizabeth School, Alicante – Spain

‘I feel that I have really developed my practice as a teacher of PE, my knowledge, understanding and skills and not just as a specialist teacher of swimming, my current role – but also now as a teacher of physical education in the school. I really enjoy taking PE and my confidence has improved. I have had great support from my tutor and staff here at The American School in London. I would thoroughly recommend the course to anyone working in the primary sector, teaching assistant, cover supervisor, instructor, coach, or teacher! Thank you VisionED!’
Kendra Semple – The American School in London
‘I would wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone looking to teach physical education as it has been one of the best courses I have ever done! Not only does the course provide you with substantial information and knowledge of different areas of what we teach in physical education in primary schools, but it has amazing resources to guide you throughout. Martin has always been there to support throughout the course and at times, given feedback that allows you to think outside of the box. Not only has that been constructive but also refreshing.
Throughout the course, I have put into practice the methods suggested and the results have been fundamental to my teaching. I particularly enjoyed implementing the importance of safety, from setting up equipment and making sure the children understand the importance of being safe.
If anyone is thinking about registering for this course, please do. It has been enjoyable and broadened by knowledge tenfold. Thank you, Martin.’
Louise Giles, Swaffham Primary Academy‘I have recently completed my National Qualification in Teaching and Learning in Physical Education in Primary Schools with VisionED and have thoroughly enjoyed this course. A big thank you to Martin for all your support and informative feedback. I have learnt so much and my confidence has grown immensely working with pupils from Reception through to year 6. I have been given all the tools to deliver high quality PE lessons making them ‘PE for ALL’ and I can’t wait to see what the future holds. I would 100% recommend this course to anyone who has a love for PE and has the passion to want to make ALL pupils shine in the subject.’
Kate W. – Albert Pye and Ravensmere Primary School, Suffolk March
‘Taking this course has significantly deepened my understanding of effective physical education practices. Throughout the course, I developed a stronger grasp of how to design learning experiences that are purposeful, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate. This course has strengthened my confidence as a PE educator. The knowledge and strategies I gained have not only improved the quality of my lessons but also enhanced students’ enjoyment and understanding of physical education. Many thanks.’ – Thomas Kelly – DLTS Thailand November 2025
‘I found the online learning platform very interesting and so easy to navigate. The course contained so much relevant and helpful information to my role in school. I especially liked the use of the ‘examples of learner’s work’ across the tasks to guide and support us with filling out some of the evidence forms and tasks. They also acted as a good prompt for me to consider things.
I found there was a really nice balance between the Quizzes / Knowledge Reviews and the written tasks. Although I found the Quizzes / Knowledge Reviews much easier and simpler to do, both were very interesting and engaging throughout.
I found the prompts throughout the course very helpful. It was useful to be able to go back and check which answers were wrong and why in the Quizzes / Knowledge Reviews making my learning more effective.
I really enjoyed all of the content and range of excellent materials provided. I was thoroughly engaged throughout and at some points found it tricky to step away from the computer to have a break. I definitely feel that I am more knowledgeable and confident in planning, teaching and assessing PE since starting the course.
Overall, I really enjoyed the course. I would definitely recommend and encourage others to use it. Huge thanks to Martin for being so helpful, supportive and understanding throughout!’
