Research led Teaching and Learning approaches such as Visible Learning are increasing becoming the norm. This simple downloadable free document seeks to help primary PE leads to articulate how PE can align with such an approach by using the acronym ‘Learning’.

Description

Many schools are using or are interested in the research led work around Visible Learning. Conversations with primary PE leads sometimes struggle to see how ‘Visible Learning’ can be aligned with PE as schools use schemes of work, coaches and other approaches. This document is simply offered to help schools look at and articulate how PE could and should be aligned with Visible Learning so that PE can support whole school approaches.

It is not perfect, but is offered freely to help those looking at research led teaching and learning strategies. We hope that you find it useful when considering alignment and whole school impact. We also think that this is a good way to raise the profile of PE in that it can be seen to be aligned with, articulated about a common shared efficacy in the school with regard to teaching and learning.
